It's the most wonderful time of the year...
During this time of year we should always be thankful for what we have and remember those less fortunate than us. Remember to smile at someone who's wearing a frown, help someone in need, and always treat others the way we want to be treated.

Tadpole News
I purchased the Stage Two habitat for our tadpole to move into after it's metamorphosis into a frog and guess what? It was delivered on Friday while I was at the conference and it came with a baby frog. Once our tadpole completes the full metamorphosis to the frog stage, we will have to introduce the two to each other and hopefully they will co-habitate happily together. Fingers crossed!

The stars were twinkling bright last night and was conducive to our Planisphere activity. I know that I was able to identify many of the constellations while my husband and I took Jackson for his evening walk. How did you do?

Book Club
Good evening,
As you all know, we did not meet for Book Club today due to Kindergarten registration. Unfortunately, we will not meet for our final book club session until Wednesday of next week due to the holiday on Monday. I hope that everyone is prepared for Wednesday and that you all read over your notes Tuesday night to refresh your memories of key points in the stories.
Additionally, please write a two paragraph summary about the book, without giving away any of the juicy details, and be sure to include whether or not you would recommend this book.
Start thinking of which book you want to read next.

Snow Day
Greetings! I hope you are all enjoying the extended, extended weekend. Although the snow is not fun to play with today, I am hoping you are all able to use the time to work on your Science projects. One student has already submitted his to me! :) Many of you have e-mailed me in reference to our class blog. Thank you for your feedback. If there is something that you or your family think could be added that would improve the blog, please let me know and I will do what I can to add it. I am updating the 'Homework' page to reflect today's snow day. Please note that some tests are being moved back one day. Rest up, and I will see you all tomorrow. Mrs. Hartlieb
