Species on the Edge Art & Essay Contest

I am excited that Room 25 students have entered the Species on the Edge Art and Poster contest. Please refer to the paperwork that was sent home for contest rules and specifications. You can also access the information on website- http://www.conservewildlifenj.org/education/edge/

Please bring all posters and essays to school by Monday, January 23rd and I will mail all class entries together.

Yearbook cover for 2011-2012

The votes are in and we have our yearbook cover for the 5th grade yearbook.

Among the Stars won with 37 votes!!

Rising Stars came in second place with 22 votes.

The Word is Out came in third place with 13 votes.

School Bus Words had only 5 votes.

Tadpole News

I purchased the Stage Two habitat for our tadpole to move into after it's metamorphosis into a frog and guess what? It was delivered on Friday while I was at the conference and it came with a baby frog. Once our tadpole completes the full metamorphosis to the frog stage, we will have to introduce the two to each other and hopefully they will co-habitate happily together. Fingers crossed!

Columbus Day Weekend

I hope you all have an enjoyable three day weekend. Remember to read Chapter 6 in the Homework Machine and take notes. Be sure to complete the Planisphere activity on Monday evening and check to see if you can locate the morning star, Venus.
